Our clients are a well-established civil construction company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality infrastructure projects across the Lower Mainland. As we expand, we are seeking experienced Site Superintendents to lead our upcoming project work.


About the Role:


We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Site Superintendent with a strong background in sewer and watermain construction. This is not a training role—we need someone who can hit the ground running and effectively manage projects at and below grade. Candidates with experience solely in shoring, sheetrock, or general construction will not be considered.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily site operations for sewer and watermain projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget
  • Manage subcontractors, crews, and suppliers to maintain productivity and quality standards
  • Interpret blueprints, specifications, and project plans to ensure compliance with engineering and municipal requirements
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and municipal inspectors to resolve site challenges
  • Enforce strict safety protocols in accordance with industry and company standards
  • Track and report project progress, delays, and required adjustments
  • Problem-solve unexpected site issues efficiently


Requirements:

  • Proven experience in sewer and watermain construction (must have managed projects at and below grade)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Site Superintendent in civil construction
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage site personnel and liaise with stakeholders
  • Knowledge of local regulations, safety standards, and best practices in underground utility work
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs, and contracts
  • Proficiency in construction management software and reporting tools is an asset
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to job sites across the Lower Mainland
