Position Summary

As an Account Manager – Meetings & Conferences, you will play a leadership role in managing and delivering high-impact conferences and events from concept to completion. You'll be a strategic partner to our clients and a trusted leader within the Power Play team—balancing creative thinking, logistical precision, and strong relationship management.

You'll manage multiple conferences and meetings, develop comprehensive logistical plans, and oversee timelines, budgets, creative assets, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of conferences, meetings, and event programs for multiple clients.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, vendors, partners, and internal teams—ensuring alignment and accountability across all touchpoints.
  • Develop and manage workback schedules, run-of-show documents, budgets, production plans, and creative briefs.
  • Lead client meetings and status calls, facilitating transparent and proactive communication.
  • Support the strategic development of events, identifying opportunities to enhance attendee engagement, efficiency, and ROI.
  • Source, negotiate, and manage contracts with venues, suppliers, and vendors.
  • Oversee creative development, including event branding, signage, presentation materials, and digital content.
  • Collaborate with internal designers and production staff to ensure brand consistency and delivery of high-quality assets.
  • Manage digital platforms including event registration, engagement tools, and mobile apps.
  • Coach and mentor Account Coordinators and support team members.
  • Conduct post-event debriefs, gather feedback, and prepare wrap-up reports for continuous improvement.
  • Stay current on event industry trends, technologies, and best practices to innovate and elevate client experiences.
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience in event or conference management, preferably within an agency or fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience managing complex projects and large-scale conferences from start to finish.
  • Strong understanding of all event elements—from production and logistics to communications and creative.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Adept at managing multiple priorities with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Confident in presenting to and influencing clients and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong team leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and project management tools
  • Experience with digital event platforms and registration systems is a strong asset.
  • Graphic design experience or familiarity with visual tools is a plus.
  • Positive, solutions-focused, and self-motivated with a collaborative spirit.
