Quanteam is an independent Financial Markets consulting company based in France, the UK, the USA, Canada, and Morocco. Our team of 800 employees supports Corporate and Investment Banks, Asset Management Companies, Insurance, and corporations for their projects in SI transformation, technology innovation, financial engineering, and regulatory implementation.
We are hiring a Network Engineer to work with one of our clients based in Montreal. We are looking for a senior Network Engineer with at least five years of experience and bilingual (French/English).
MISSION:
As the client department is growing, they are looking for team players and invested people who are interested in bringing new ideas and perspectives.
The Network department provides network and network security services and expertise to all main network environments (routing, switching, firewalls, …). The Network experts in Canada are working to maintain a good level of services in highly critical environments in AMER, Europe, and Asia, and accompany business partners on their needs.
You will be part of a team of 20 engineers focusing on network administration.
Responsibilities:
Your duties encompass a range of tasks, including but not limited to:
- Providing support for technical projects involving local and global application, infrastructure, governance, and client teams. Notable projects include the implementation of DNA on the campus and the deployment of ACI in core data centers.
- Offering level 2 operations support, conducting monitoring during business hours, and communicating daily morning check reports.
- Improving operational processes and documentation.
- Managing incident, request, and change management.
- Detecting and communicating issues during business hours and participating in on-call responsibilities during non-business hours.
Profile:
The ideal candidate possesses:
- A minimum of 3 years of expertise in data network operations.
- Knowledge of ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) best practices.
- Strong operational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple requests or incidents.
- Demonstrated adaptability to varying work environments and changing circumstances.
- Preferred experience in exchange or investment banking settings.
- Willingness to participate in on-call schedules, including overnights and weekends (approximately once a month).
- Hands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches, including BGP and OSPF.
- Familiarity with Spanning Tree, HSRP, VLAN, LACP, NAT, Nexus platform, VPC, and VDC.
- Knowledge of CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional).
- Experience with WiFi (Cisco WLC, Cisco Prime) and NAC (Cisco ISE, 802.1x).
- Familiarity with IOS XR, multicast, MPLS, and understanding of load balancing (Netscaler, GTM).
Nice-to-have:
- Knowledge of Cisco ACI or a willingness to learn.
- Unix system management and scripting capability, including Python, Ansible, and GITHUB.
- Experience with Fortinet, Checkpoint, and Cisco ASA Firewalls.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, DEC, or equivalent technical certifications.
- Bonus: Possession of a Cisco CCNP Level certification.
