Our manufacturing client is looking for a Network Engineer to oversee and improve their network infrastructure. You'll be responsible for managing and maintaining their data center and network environments while driving enhancements in security, efficiency, and performance. What You'll Be Doing:

Network Design & Implementation

  • Plan and oversee network and circuit installations, ensuring scalability and redundancy
  • Support infrastructure projects, including hardware management and architecture
  • Deploy routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs

Network Security & Optimization

  • Implement security protocols to protect critical data
  • Manage and maintain network performance, ensuring high availability
  • Work with BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP, VPN, WAF, IPS, TCP/IP, UDP, CDN, DNS, and Load Balancing

Troubleshooting & Maintenance

  • Analyze and improve network performance through data analysis and system testing
  • Perform network capture analysis (Wireshark) to identify and resolve issues
  • Provide on-call support for urgent network matters

Continuous Improvement & Leadership

  • Lead projects focused on enhancing network efficiency and reliability
  • Perform lifecycle maintenance on network devices and supporting equipment
  • Document network configurations, ensuring clear and up-to-date records

What They're Looking For:

Experience:

  • 5+ years working with large-scale networks (routing, switching, firewalls, wireless)
  • 3+ years working in a data center environment
  • 2+ years of project management experience
  • Certifications: CCNP preferred

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of network design, configuration, and security
  • Familiarity with AWS, GCP, and Azure (a plus)
  • Proficiency with network monitoring tools like Wireshark

Soft Skills:

  • Proactive problem solver who takes initiative
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with multiple teams
