Our team is growing, and we are actively looking to hire an Actuarial Analyst professional to join our team Reporting to the Manager, Pricing, you will be responsible to:
Accountabilities:
- Identify, recommend, develop, integrate and maintain SAS and Visual Basic programs for indications, as well as undertake associated analysis.
- Extract, manipulate and reconcile data for indications, quarterly and annual analyses, and ad hoc requests as required by the pricing function.
- Maintain, update, and become experts of the actuarial databases, and be able to analyze its contents.
- Identify, develop, implement, update and regularly evaluate the effectiveness of competitive analysis tools in analyzing and producing reports to facilitate pricing decisions.
- Provide required services to support Pricing Managers and Risk Managers with implementation of rate changes, and associated rate filings.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree from a college or university institute – Actuarial, statistical, or mathematical degree/diploma.
- In the process of or completed writing Actuarial Exams.
- Strong communication skills and comfortable presenting recommendations to various audiences.
- Sound business acumen and comfortable using judgement to make assumptions in the absence of black and white data.
- Prioritization skills, ability to juggle multiple projects on the go and differentiate between large and small impact items.
- Minimum 1-year Actuarial Experience (P&C pricing experience is an asset)
- Knowledge of SAS/VBA is an asset.
