Senior Business Intelligence Developer – MicroStrategy

Project: Insight Med Echo

Background: BI reporting changes to incorporate Med Echo data into Insight. We are seeking a skilled Senior Developer to join our team and contribute to this project.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy MicroStrategy-based visualizations, documents, dossiers, and reports, including intelligent cubes and security models.
  • Integrate backend systems such as Oracle DB and MS Excel following approved architecture designs and compliance standards.
  • Ensure compliance with AODA (WCAG 2.0), bilingual (Eng/FR) requirements, and user experience guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in MicroStrategy development, data modeling, and reporting techniques.
  • Hands-on experience in developing reports, dashboards, and interactive elements using MSTR Developer/ Workstation.
  • Ability to translate technical and business requirements into MSTR architectural designs.
  • Familiarity with MSTR tools like Object Manager, Command Manager, and System Manager.
  • Experience in performance tuning and handling issues with MSTR applications.
  • Knowledge of data transformation, project configuration, and web integration using ASP, HTML, and CSS.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years: Business Intelligence development using MicroStrategy Developer
  • 3+ years: Utilizing Command Manager, System Manager, and Object and Integrity Manager
  • 3+ years: Working with MSTR Schema objects
  • 3+ years: Creating filters and security measures
  • 3+ years: Developing and tuning Intelligent Cubes
  • 3+ years: Developing integrated MSTR Web applications
  • 3+ years: Designing and executing workflows
  • 3+ years: Implementing multilingual reports and documents
  • 3+ years: Collaboration with multiple teams
  • 3+ years: Ensuring Accessibility compliance (AODA WCAG 2.0)
  • 3+ years: Data integration utilizing various sources
  • 3+ years: SQL proficiency and performance tuning
