JDI is seeking a Senior Corporate Counsel. Based at its Saint John New Brunswick headquarters in the Senior Corporate Counsel role reports directly to the Vice President, Corporate and Legal and will be a key member of the legal team, operating within a dynamic and fast-paced environment and providing a broad range of legal and commercial advice to JDI’s business on a myriad of legal issues that arise from the operation of a large complex business. In particular, the Senior Corporate Counsel will contribute to strategic decision making by providing recommendations related to legal risk management, transactions, contracts, and as a participant in a variety of business negotiations with third parties.
This is a unique and exciting opportunity for a business savvy lawyer who brings 8+ years of corporate/commercial legal experience acquired in a top tier law firm and/or as in-house counsel. The ideal candidate brings strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organization. Moreover, the ideal candidate brings strong organizational and time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
