Land Development Manager

As a Land Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing land planning, development, and design processes. Your responsibilities will include coordinating with various stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulations, and driving successful project outcomes. We are seeking an experienced professional with a background in planning and a passion for sustainable growth.


Responsibilities

Land Planning and Development:

  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to create comprehensive land development plans.
  • Oversee the entire development process, from conception to completion.
  • Ensure efficient land use, considering zoning regulations, environmental impact, and community needs.
  • Review site plans, evaluate feasibility, and propose modifications as necessary.
  • Monitor progress and address any challenges during construction.

Zoning and Density Changes:

  • Stay informed about local zoning laws and regulations.
  • Work closely with city officials, planners, and legal teams to navigate zoning changes.
  • Evaluate the impact of density changes on the project and propose adjustments.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Engage with community members, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
  • Present development proposals and address concerns.
  • Negotiate agreements and contracts with landowners, contractors, and vendors.

Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage project budgets.
  • Monitor expenses, track revenue, and ensure cost-effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to secure funding and grants.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

  • Identify potential risks related to land development projects.
  • Implement strategies to mitigate risks and ensure project success.


Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, architecture, civil engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a development manager, land planner, or similar role.
  • Familiarity with land-use regulations and zoning codes.

Skills:

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.Additional Considerations:
  • Experience in sustainable development practices is a plus.
  • Certification in land use planning or related fields is desirable.
