We’re currently looking for a Brand Marketing Lead to join our dynamic MarCom team.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Brand Marketing Lead will be responsible for growing department goals of reach, revenue and relevance through the coordination and execution of the Ambassador Program, strategic event & marketing partnerships, and key digital and brand marketing projects.

What you will do
MarCom Strategy and Planning
- Contribute to the planning of Digital and Corporate Marketing strategies with a focus on brand alignment.
- Participate in cross-functional collaboration to maximize audience insight and brand activation.
- Plan strategic marketing campaigns and initiatives to maximize brand impact with target audiences. Engage internal and external stakeholders in strategic brand planning.
- To reach revenue targets, support Affinity Group strategy to align current and future partnerships, cross-promotional partnerships, and event partnerships to the brand.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure all promotional or retail program activities are aligned to help to build our brand.
- Working within the MarCom team; identify opportunities to enhance online and offline community engagement with the goal of developing mutual reach, revenue, and relevance objectives.
Marketing Implementation
- Project manage and coordinate brand deliverables that impact multiple stakeholders.
- Align all Digital Marketing and Corporate Marketing to the marketing strategy and brand research.
- Work closely with the broader communication teams to align PR and content strategies to the brand.
- Lead and grow the Ambassador Program – a diverse volunteer group and advisory group to the MarCom work of engaged community leaders that represent and activate the United Way brand at events and in market channels. Activities include support onboarding, manage communications and engagement, and distribute brand toolkits for Ambassadors.
Data Management and Reporting
- Deepen brand awareness and positioning, along with market share in the community for United Way of Calgary and Area.
- Report on measurable brand KPIs.
- Evaluate and report on marketing projects and campaigns to understand impact to make data-driven decisions in future work.
Brand Management
- Work closely with graphic designer to ensure material consistency and alignment with brand guidelines.
What you will bring
Experience:
- 5+ years’ experience in marketing with direct experience in brand marketing and advertising (ie. sponsorship, activation, or partnerships)
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in marketing, or relevant field, or equivalent work experience
- Demonstrated understanding of activating marketing channels and how to integrate them for maximum impact
- Experience managing and executing strategic marketing plans
- Excellent organizational and project management skills

- Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
- Skilled in time management, with ability to balance competing priorities and meet deadlines under pressure
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office; knowledge of SharePoint and MS Teams a plus
- Proactively seeks out and stays updated on marketing trends; keen to try new approaches
- Exceptional knowledge in building and executing strategic brand engagement plans.
