We are currently looking for a Junior Packaging Specialist for our pharmaceutical client for a contract position:


Bilingualism in both French and English is preferred but not required. Proficiency in either French or English is acceptable.


Duration: 18 months with the potential extension to 24 months

Location: Baie d'Urfé (Onsite)


The Junior Packaging Specialist will support the development and production of primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging solutions, He must keep in mind the needs due to internal and external customers (i.e., marketing, purchasing team, consumer, production plant etc.). The packaging Specialist Junior must also analyze current packaging solutions as needed to determine what can be optimized to increase efficiency and minimize costs.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Carrying out laboratory tests and analyses on various types of packaging.
  • Laboratory maintenance, equipment calibration.
  • Write test protocols and validate prototypes.
  • Participate in the feasibility analysis of several cost and carbon footprint reduction initiatives.
  • Ability to establish and follow a project schedule as well as make technical recommendations.
  • Conduct tests and simulations to validate hypotheses.
  • Write expert reports; Establish specifications.
  • Perform good document management.

Qualification for the position

  • Degree in mechanical/industrial engineer or Industrial design.
  • Knowledge of metrology laboratory work is an asset.
  • Be able to work independently.
  • Be able to take relevant and acceptable initiatives.
  • Comfortable with computer systems (mainly Windows Office environment).
  • Knowledge of 2D and 3D software such as AutoCAD, Inventor, SOLIDWORKS - an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to set priorities and take responsibility.
  • Positive attitude, tenacity, autonomy, and rigor.


Version française

Le bilinguisme en français et en anglais est préférable mais pas obligatoire. La maîtrise du français ou de l'anglais est acceptable.

Site : Baie d’Urfé (Sur site)

Le technicien ingénieurs en emballage supportera le développement et la production des solutions d’emballage primaire, secondaire et tertiaire, Il doit garder en tête les besoins dû à l’interne et l’externe clients (i.e. marketing, l’équipe d’achat, consommateur, plant de production etc.). Le technicien d’emballage doit aussi au besoin, analyser les solutions d’emballage actuelles afin de déterminer ce qui peut être optimisé pour augmenter l’efficace et minimiser les coûts.

Responsabilités spécifiques

  • Participer à l'analyse de faisabilité de plusieurs initiatives de réduction de coûts et d’empreinte carbone.
  • Réalisation des essais et analyses de laboratoire sur les divers types d'emballages.
  • Entretien du laboratoire, calibration des équipements.
  • Rédiger des protocoles de tests et valider des prototypes.
  • Capacité à établir et suivre un échéancier ainsi que de faire des recommandations techniques.
  • Procéder à des tests et simulations, pour valider les hypothèses;
  • Rédiger des rapports d'expertise; établir des spécifications
  • Effectuer une bonne gestion documentaire.

Qualification pour le poste

  • Diplôme en mécanique/ingénieur industriel ou en design industriel.
  • Connaissance de travail en laboratoire de métrologie un atout
  • Être capable de travailler de manière autonome.
  • Capable de prendre des initiatives pertinentes et acceptables
  • À l'aise avec les systèmes informatiques (principalement l'environnement Windows Office).
  • Connaissance de 2D and 3D software comme AutoCAD, Inventor, SOLIDWORKS - un atout
  • Capacité à travailler dans un environnement de travail à rythme rapide
  • Capacité à établir des priorités et bon sens des responsabilités
  • Attitude positive, ténacité, autonomie et rigueur
