Job Description: Java Full Stack Lead Developer with DevOps Experience

Location: Halifax Nova Scotia, Remote


Position Overview: We are seeking a hands-on Java Full Stack Lead Developer with strong DevOps experience to design and implement end-to-end solutions. This role involves migrating applications from WebLogic to Microservices and supporting the application. You'll be the sole developer, with a tester provided, and also handle on-call support for three hours/day on weekdays and every 6th weekend, typically receiving one call per month.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead hands-on end-to-end DevOps design and implementation for applications.
  • Oversee production support and work directly with customers on development engagement.
  • Address user stories and provide on-call support as needed.
  • Deploy and manage the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Take ownership of issues, solve problems proactively, and improve processes.
  • Participate in architectural and design-level initiatives.


Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with DevOps design and CI/CD pipeline deployment.
  • 7+ years of experience with Java and Spring Boot.
  • 3+ years with Angular, React JS, or other front-end technologies.
  • 7+ years in Microservices coding, development, and deployment.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
  • 1+ year of experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes.
