Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and analytical Senior Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, data analysis, and stakeholder collaboration. This role involves working closely with multiple stakeholders to extract, analyze, and interpret data from various sources, particularly home centers, to inform business decisions and strategies.


Key Responsibilities:


Sales Forecasting & Inventory Management:

  • Manage sales forecasting, POS databases, and provide replenishment guidance for Home Improvement Channel customers.
  • Maintain overall inventory health, including POS trends, in-stock percentage, service level, and inventory turns.
  • Review and analyze historical data and trends to forecast the demand for import and domestic goods.
  • Monitor recent sales performance and adjust forward forecasts at appropriate time horizons.
  • Manage forecast exceptions, Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, including store/DC level inventories.
  • Maintain forecasting spreadsheets and historical POS and shipment history.


Reporting & Data Analysis:


  • Provide key reporting to sales, supply chain, and Senior Management as needed.
  • Maintain weekly POS reporting and identify key trends within each customer.
  • Identify high, medium, and low sellers and update forecasting and replenishment parameters accordingly.
  • Support internal and customer business reviews with additional reports as needed.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend solutions.


Collaboration & Communication:


  • Communicate product status updates to internal stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with supply chain team to ensure forecast accuracy, and initial PO accuracy.
  • Represent the forecasting and replenishment business unit when reporting out to leaders in the organization.
  • Participate in collaborative monthly forecasting calls.


Sales Demand & Trend Analysis:


  • Analyze sales demand and provide insights based on POS data.
  • Conduct trend analysis to identify key market trends and opportunities.
  • Perform sales analytics to derive business insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Run reports, interpret the data, and develop business strategy recommendations.


Cross-Functional Collaboration:


  • Work closely with Product Managers to ensure alignment of product strategies with market demand.
  • Look at data, analyze it, and derive actionable insights to drive business performance.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five to six years of experience in a business analyst role, preferably within the retail or home improvement sector.
  • Proven experience in project management, with a strong ability to lead and execute projects effectively.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Tableau, Looker, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing methodologies and strategies.
