Core One Consulting is searching for a full time Electrical Engineer (PEng, PE) to join our team. As the senior electrical engineer you will be responsible for the electrical design of new wireless telecommunication sites, power upgrade designs and EV charging station designs.
Core One has offices in the Vancouver area, Montreal, Seattle area and the Phoenix area. We are open to the successful candidate working remotely however would prefer someone working a full time or hybrid office position
Our Team is seeking an Electrical Engineer with a “can do” attitude. You are a self-starter who enjoys solving problems and taking on challenges. You are motivated to perform the below set of responsibilities and have the requirements to succeed.
Responsibilities
To perform this role successfully, the Electrical Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
- Electrical design of power distribution, control, communication, lighting, commercial, institutional and municipal sectors
- Technical calculations and software use for load calculations, arc flash, fault & coordination studies, power system design
- On site electrical research, construction audits, field reviews
- Writing detailed and concise technical reports, feasibility studies, proposals, including written responses and instructions as required
- Conducting all tasks in cooperation with internal clients and other engineering disciplines
- Managing and enhancing client relationships
- Other duties as assigned/required
Qualifications
- PEng designation is required
- Multiple Provincial APEG stamps an asset
- PE designation in Washington State an asset or willing to take exam
- 2 - 4 years’ experience designing electrical systems for buildings, pump stations, industrial facilities including power distribution, lighting, life safety and communications
- Ability to work independently to deliver comprehensive designs, often with demanding timelines
- Exemplary interpersonal skills with team members and clients
- Able to work in a team environment
- Good initiative, attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Reputation for meeting or exceeding expectations
- Valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract (may be requested)
- Vehicle with insurance that meets Core One’s criteria
- Ability to travel domestically and to the United States
