RÉSUMÉ DU POSTE

L'ingénieur électricien R&D, technicien sénior, jouera un rôle crucial dans la recherche et le développement de systèmes et de composants électriques. Ce poste implique une combinaison de travaux techniques pratiques, de conception, d'essais et de dépannage. Le candidat doit posséder de solides bases en ingénierie électrique, des compétences techniques pratiques et la capacité d'innover et de résoudre des problèmes complexes.


RESPONSABILITÉS

  • Prendre en charge les projets R&D attitrés
  • Coordonner la réalisation des projets avec tous les intervenants internes
  • Effectuer la modélisation et la conception de circuits électriques et électroniques de contrôle d’appareils motorisés
  • Participer aux revues de conception et à la résolution des défis de R&D
  • Investiguer et analyser des problèmes électriques, et proposer des mesures correctives et/ou des procédures de réparations
  • Travailler sur la réduction des coûts des équipements actuels, tout en gardant sa qualité et son efficacité
  • Participer à l’assemblage des prototypes
  • Réaliser des bancs d’essais
  • Rédiger les protocoles d’essais et les rapports de laboratoire
  • Participer aux essais en laboratoire (voyage international possible)
  • Préparer la documentation requise pour la mise en production (BOM, dessins, spécifications, instructions d’assemblage)


EXIGENCES

  • Baccalauréat en génie électrique ou équivalent
  • Membre de l'OIQ (atout important)
  • 2 à 5 ans d’expérience en conception de circuits de contrôle
  • Expérience avec le logiciel AutoCad ou autre logiciel équivalent (atout)
  • Programmation (C/C++, HTML, LabVIEW) (un atout)
  • Avoir de l'expérience en soudure en surface de PCB (avec microscope) (un atout)
  • Expérience avec le logiciel Altium ou autre logiciel équivalent
  • Connaissance du domaine de la haute tension, un atout
  • Bonne maîtrise du français et anglais, à l’écrit comme à l’oral (obligatoire)
  • Le bilinguisme est requis, car ce rôle exige des communications quotidiennes à l'extérieur du Québec
  • Être disponible à voyager (10%)

JOB SUMMARY

An R&D Electrical Engineer, Senior Technician will play a crucial role in the research and development of electrical systems and components. This role involves a combination of hands-on technical work, design, testing, and troubleshooting. Requires a strong foundation in electrical engineering principles, hands-on technical skills, and the ability to innovate and solve complex problems.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Take charge of assigned R&D projects
  • Coordinate projects with all internal stakeholders
  • Model and design electrical and electronic control circuits for motorized devices
  • Participate in design reviews and resolution of R&D challenges
  • Investigate and analyze electrical problems, and propose corrective measures and/or repair procedures
  • Work on reducing the cost of current equipment, while maintaining its quality and efficiency
  • Participate in prototype assembly
  • Set up test benches
  • Write test protocols and laboratory reports
  • Participate in laboratory tests (international travel possible)
  • Prepare documentation required for production launch (BOM, drawings, specifications, assembly instructions)


REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
  • Member of the OIQ (important asset)
  • 2 to 5 years experience in control circuit design
  • Experience with AutoCad or equivalent software (asset)
  • Programming (C/C++, HTML, LabVIEW) (an asset)
  • Experience in PCB surface soldering (with microscope) (an asset)
  • Experience with Altium or equivalent software
  • Knowledge of high voltage is an asset
  • Good command of written and spoken French and English (mandatory)
  • Bilingualism is required because this role requires daily communication outside of Quebec
  • Willingness to travel (10%)
