Position Overview:
Our client in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Physician and General Practitioner to join their dynamic healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, ensuring the delivery of high-quality medical care in a supportive and patient-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Conduct thorough medical examinations, diagnose and treat a wide range of health conditions, and manage chronic diseases. Provide preventive care, health education, and counseling to promote overall well-being.
- Medical Management: Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, prescribe medications, and monitor patient progress. Coordinate care with specialists and other healthcare providers as needed.
- Health Assessments: Perform routine health assessments, screenings, and immunizations. Interpret diagnostic tests and medical histories to identify potential health issues early.
- Patient Relationship: Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with patients and their families. Ensure effective communication and empathetic understanding of their concerns and needs.
- Electronic Medical Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Ensure confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, specialists, and administrative staff, to provide integrated and holistic care.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure and certification as a Family Physician or General Practitioner in Ontario.
- Proven experience in primary care or family medicine, with a strong understanding of general medical practice.
- Excellent diagnostic and clinical skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-focused approach.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
