Spiritwear Canada produces custom screen printed and embroidered apparel for businesses, schools, colleges and Universities throughout Canada. We are a leader in our industry and love what we do. We are currently looking for a talented graphic designer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have strong creative skills and a portfolio of work which demonstrates their passion for design and typography. This candidate will have experience in working with different design platforms such as digital and print forms. Must have experience working with spot colour separations.


Responsibilities

  • Create compelling and effective apparel designs while maintaining client brand standards
  • Prepare file separations for screen printing production
  • Redrawing/Tracing customer supplied logos
  • Prepare files for cad cut vinyl applications
  • Photo re-touching for marketing media
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain priorities and meet deadlines
  • Other design related tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • Degree in Graphic Design
  • 5 years minimum professional working experience in a pre-press production role
  • Highly proficient in the use of the Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat, etc.)
  • Must have experience working with spot colour separations
  • Able to create interesting and creative designs
  • Strong communication, conceptual thinking, typography skills and design skills
  • Portfolio of work
  • Able to Interact with clients in a professional manner
  • Extremely detail-oriented with a keen eye for identifying mistakes (both written and graphically)
