Paint Application Specialist

Location: Brampton (Onsite)


Job Description:

  • Responsible for coordinating and providing paint processing support during design, installation and launch of new paint manufacturing equipment.
  • Responsible for assessing spraybooth and paint automated equipment for capability (existing/new model). Responsibilities include but not limited to: Develop strategy for painting and automated processing for new model at all CPCP gates plus develops automation solutions, layouts and sets system requirements.
  • Commission new robotic equipment for processes including LASD, sealer, primer, topcoat, blackout, PUR Foam. Execute process tune in and optimization of paint application equipment and support production launch. Drive appearance characteristics per vehicle line. Develop and support process capability matrix for corrective troubleshooting of existing paint application or paint process conditions for current production vehicles.
  • Act as the coordinator of the painting unit (establishing trials, leading root cause analysis, reporting the data…)


Requirement:

  • Paint experience in the automotive sector - experience with 4WET technic ( 1. Primer, 2. Base coat 3. Dehydration 4. Clear Coat 5. Baking)
  • The machines used are Fanuc - ideally a former experience on these machines
  • Former hands-on experience in painting (for instance experience working on car preparation for the 4WET)
