One of our leading manufacturing clients is looking for 2nd Class Power Engineer & 3rd Class Power Engineer to can play a vital role in ensuring regulatory compliance and overseeing plant efficiency.


Location: GTA, ON & Other provinces


Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain a diverse range of utilities equipment and systems, covering steam plants, HVAC, compressed air, water systems, natural gas, and refrigeration.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with contractors, manufacturers, and vendors to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Develop and oversee essential protocols, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Preventive Maintenance (PMs), Predictive Maintenance (PDM), and Work Orders (WOs).
  • Lead the conception and execution of projects aimed at enhancing utilities infrastructure.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and food safety regulations and standards.
  • Foster a culture of engagement, responsibility, accountability, and teamwork among team members.


Qualifications:

  • Possession of a 2nd Class Power Engineering certification.
  • Possession of a 3rd Class Power Engineering certification.
  • Proficiency in managing steam, ammonia, and refrigeration systems.
  • Previous experience in a food production or manufacturing environment is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience in steam and refrigeration operations.
  • Additional certifications such as Millwright and Plumbing are beneficial.
  • Experience working in a food processing setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis and participation in continuous improvement programs like 6Sigma.
