Canada Altruistic Informatics Consulting Full time

Our government client is seeking a highly skilled Software Developer to support in upgrading existing software applications to increase functionality and develop techniques and loadsets for ECM equipment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement software solutions.
  • Plan, test, and evaluate communication protocols using RF laboratory equipment.
  • Work on communications electronic warfare (CEW) systems, including RF transmission, reception, and measurement.
  • Design and evaluate communications electronic countermeasures (ECM) systems.
  • Develop embedded processing applications.


Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science from a Canadian university or an equivalent from a foreign institution, as determined by the Canadian Centre for International Credentials.
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in software design and implementation within the last 10 years.
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in planning, testing, and evaluating communication protocols using RF laboratory equipment within the last 10 years.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in software design and implementation, with a preference for more than 10 years within the past 10 years.
  • Experience working on CEW systems, including RF activities, with a preference for more than 9 years within the past 10 years.
  • Proficiency in programming with software development environments such as Matlab or Python, with significant experience preferred.
  • Experience designing and evaluating ECM systems, with a preference for more than 9 years within the past 10 years.
  • Experience in designing and implementing embedded processing applications.
  • Extensive experience using RF laboratory equipment.



Contract Duration: 1 year + 2 year extension


Location: Ottawa, ON (Remote)
