Role :: Oracle ERP Consultant with Fixed Asset experience

Location :: Brampton, ON, Canada(Onsite)

Type :: Contract

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the implementation and configuration of the Oracle ERP Fixed Assets module to meet business requirements.

• Work closely with finance and accounting teams to ensure proper setup and maintenance of fixed asset records.

• Develop, document, and implement processes for fixed asset management, including asset acquisition, capitalization, depreciation, and disposal.

• Conduct regular reviews and audits of fixed asset data to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.

• Provide ongoing support and training to end-users on the Oracle ERP Fixed Assets module.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the Fixed Assets module, minimizing business disruption.

• Generate and customize reports for fixed asset tracking, management, and financial reporting.

• Participate in ERP system upgrades, enhancements, and related testing activities.

• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables for fixed asset initiatives.

• Ensure that fixed asset management practices align with the organization's strategic goals and financial policies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Minimum of 9+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle ERP systems, particularly in the Fixed Assets module.

• In-depth knowledge of fixed asset accounting principles and practices.

• Demonstrated experience in implementing and configuring the Oracle ERP Fixed Assets module.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

• Excellent project management skills, capable of handling multiple projects and priorities concurrently.

• Proficiency in SQL and other database query languages.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.

• Relevant Oracle certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional) are highly desirable.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with additional Oracle ERP modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Purchasing.

• Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to fixed asset management.

• Experience in data migration and system integration projects.

• Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies.
