Job Description


Brain Power Enrichment Programs is on the lookout for a passionate and inspiring Language Arts educator (with a particular recruitment focus at the moment for Grade 1-5), skilled in igniting the intellectual curiosity of bright and talented students. Our mission is to foster the growth of our students not just as learners, but as critical thinkers, eloquent writers, and future leaders. We delve deep into the Humanities, exploring sophisticated vocabulary, riveting fiction and non-fiction, the history of ideas, and the art of expressive and effective writing.


As an award-winning after-school program renowned for our commitment to academic excellence, Brain Power has been transforming the educational landscape for gifted students. Our classes cater to bright students (grades 1-12) who are not just academically advanced but are also eager to challenge the boundaries of traditional education. Classes are two hours per week for 34 weeks.


We invite you to join our team of star educators across our campuses in Toronto (Downtown, Midtown and North Toronto, Etobicoke), Markham, and Oakville. Here, you will lead small groups of approximately 6-12 students through an established and exhilarating curriculum. You will also have the opportunity to network and grow with other advanced degree holders and experts This part-time, freelance opportunity offers the flexibility to work in the evenings and on weekends, allowing you to impact the lives of our super-smart and inspiring students outside conventional hours.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Educational Background: A University Degree is required, with a preference for candidates holding a Masters PhD.
  • Experience: We provide training to advanced degree holders to ensure you are well-prepared. Teaching certification is not required, although preferred for primary-level classes.
  • Location: Ability to reliably commute to our campuses in Toronto, Markham, or Oakville.
