LeverageTek is actively seeking a Front-End Developer (CSS & JavaScript Specialist) for a 12-month contract with its Ottawa-based customer.

Key Tasks

  • Develop responsive and user-friendly web interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Optimize existing project CSS library and develop a new library for new projects
  • Implement interactive features and dynamic content using modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries
  • Collaborate with designers to ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX design
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and troubleshoot issues
  • Maintain code quality and ensure code is reusable, scalable, and well-documented
  • As a Front-End Developer , you will be responsible for translating the client’s design wireframes into high-quality code and implementing visual and interactive elements in web applications
  • You will work closely with our clients and development team to ensure seamless integration and a cohesive user experience


Key Qualifications

  • Proven work experience as a Front-End Developer or similar role (5-10 years’ experience)
  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Experience with front-end frameworks and libraries such as React, Vue.js, or Angular
  • A portfolio of previous projects demonstrating front-end skills

  • Solid understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills


Assets

  • Knowledge of AngularJS
  • Knowledge of TypeScript
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling
  • Experience with UX/UI design principles
