Your job Python tools and scripts to support database administration and evolution, particularly for migrations, data quality, observability, automated remediation and pipeline automation. Manage and optimize PostgreSQL, Amazon Aurora, SQL Server and Oracle databases, including tuning, indexing, replication, high availability, disaster recovery and non-disruptive upgrades. Operate in the AWS environment using RDS, IAM, KMS and CloudWatch, while integrating telemetry and alerting required for reliability. Design, automate and improve AWS data infrastructure with Terraform, prioritizing security, reliability and cost optimization. Work with architects and developers to define and apply standards and best practices for access management, encryption and secret management. Review change requests, document procedures and support teams on database best practices. Prerequisites A university certificate and several years of relevant experience; or a bachelor’s degree and equivalent experience; or a master’s degree combined with appropriate experience. Proficiency in Python for automation and Terraform for infrastructure management. Significant experience in administration and optimization of PostgreSQL, Aurora, SQL Server or Oracle databases. Have worked in an AWS environment that includes RDS, IAM, KMS and CloudWatch.
