Music Teacher

Division - I, II, III

Canadian Rockies Public Schools is now accepting applications for the following probationary teaching position for the 2024-2025 school year:

Music, Full-Time Probationary

*Music positions may include teaching of other subject areas.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the attributes of the Alberta Teaching Quality Standard. In particular:

Training and experience working with students and curriculum in the division I, II, III.

Must have a music major or extensive experience in music programs.

Experience in the area of music education and/or band instruction.

Demonstrated ability to use formative assessment to guide instruction.

Understands and applies the principles of the Teaching Effectiveness Framework.

Excellent behaviour management and communication skills.

Experience in working as a member of a professional learning community.

Demonstrates skills of a child-centred Educator who embodies the Mission, Vision and Beliefs of CRPS.

Ability to effectively integrate technology to enhance student learning opportunities would be considered an asset.

Experience working with Indigenous students and ELL students would be considered an asset.

Must hold or be eligible to hold a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate.

Start Date: August 22, 2024

End Date: June 30, 2025
