St. Albert Public Schools is currently recruiting a casual contracted Bus Driver for work assignment at Bellerose High School .

More than 9000 students are enrolled in St. Albert Public Schools. From Preschool to Grade 12, our students learn and succeed in programs that are recognized for excellence and their focus on citizenship and sound values.

Hours of Work : Dependent on school needs

Contract Term: End of 2024-25 School Year (June 25, 2025)

Hourly Rate: $22.92 per hour, as per the CUPE Collective Agreement

Specific Needs/Requirements for this position:

Must posses a valid Class 4 license to transport students to and from community outings

Proven track record of safe driving with zero-to-minimal traffic violations or accidents

Familiarity with school bus-specific rules and safety protocols

Ability to handle emergencies calmly and effectively

Strong and positive verbal communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and school staff

Ability to address and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise

Experience or training in managing student behaviour and maintaining a safe and orderly environment on the bus

Dependable and timely, with the ability to adhere to schedules and make necessary adjustments for delays

Highest level of formal education.

Professional certificates, trade certificates, etc.

Courses, seminars, specialized training.

Experience related to the position.

Other skills and abilities applicable to the position.
