Sturgeon Public Schools are located throughout Sturgeon County north of the cities of Edmonton and St. Albert. We are a rural community and as such our substitutes would require a valid drivers license and reliable vehicle to access the various locations.

We are currently seeking Substitute Teachers for all subject areas as well as the following:

French at the Elementary/Junior High level

Band/Music

Welding

Construction

Mechanics

Physical Education

Foods/Fashions/Cosmetology

The following criteria are required for providing substitution coverage:

A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate

Should a qualified candidate not be identified, candidates with lesser qualifications could be considered at a lower classification and maybe filled on a temporary basis.

All new employees to Sturgeon Public School Division are required to submit a recent (within 6 months), clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector included (from your local RCMP station) prior to commencement of employment.
