Hairstylist/Esthetician Teacher

Albert Public Schools is currently recruiting a Full Time, Probationary Teacher for a work assignment as a Hairstylist/Esthetician at Paul Kane High School for the upcoming 2024/25 school year.

Responsibilities:

·

Teaching in the

Cosmetology program

·

This assignment may

include other subjects depending on school needs and qualifications of the

successful applicant

Qualifications and Attributes:

·

A valid Alberta

Teaching Certificate is required

·

Required Journeyman in Hairstyling

·

Two to four years’ experience in the field of Hair Styling

and Esthetics is preferred

·

Experience working with students at the high school level is

preferred

·

Knowledge and certification in esthetics

·

Previous experience working with students with diverse

learning needs an asset

·

Experiment and willingness to train students to participate

in Skills Canada

·

Knowledge of career pathways

·

Good oral and written

communication skills

·

Good interpersonal

skills

·

The ability to take

direction and work independently
