Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Geotechnical Engineer (Mining & Rock Mechanics) to join their team located in North Bay Ontario (Relocation assistance offered for Canadian Citizen). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in rock mechanics, with a strong background in geological or mining engineering.


Responsibilities:

* Plan, coordinate, and implement geomechanical site investigations.

* Conduct rock mass classification and select geomechanical domains.

* Perform numerical modelling and analyses, including stability assessments for open pit slopes and/or underground excavations.

* Manage and coordinate projects, ensuring timely delivery and client satisfaction.

* Travel domestically and internationally as required to meet client needs.


Qualifications:


* Bachelor's or graduate degree in Geological or Mining Engineering.

* Registered or eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with PEO.

* Minimum of 5 years of experience in rock mechanics.

* Fluent communication skills in English.

* Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally.


Preferred Qualifications:


* Graduate degree in rock mechanics.

* Experience in the consulting industry or at an operating mine.

* Proficiency in numerical modelling.
