We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Process Improvement Leader to join our Investment Finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in investment and loan accounting, a CPA designation, and experience in management reporting and process improvement. As a Process Improvement Leader, you will play a key role in optimizing our accounting processes, ensuring compliance with technical accounting requirements, and enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our finance operations.


*Please understand we are looking for an investment finance candidate, not someone with a BA/PI/QA background.*


Responsibilities:

  • Manage investment and loan accounting activities in compliance with IFRS standards
  • Conduct FMV SPPI valuations and FV Hierarchy valuations
  • Provide technical accounting expertise and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Prepare and analyze management reports, metrics, and KPIs for the investing finance department
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting processes for investment activities
  • Prepare and analyze pension and Seg Fund statements, as well as Mutual Funds
  • Oversee the close of books and financial reporting for Company's Investment Inc.
  • Provide oversight over trust accounting and cash desk activities, including the movement of money for trade activities
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Build or integrate processes to streamline operations and improve financial performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and achieve business objectives



Qualifications:

  • CPA or CFA designation is required
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in investment and loan accounting
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS standards, FMV SPPI valuation, and FV Hierarchy valuation
  • Experience in management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Knowledge of pension accounting is preferred
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
