Where You’ll Work:

  • SmartSimple Software and Foundant Technologies are remote-first workplaces. We recognize the distinct advantages of workplace flexibility.
  • SmartSimple’s headquarters are located in Toronto, Canada with our EMEA office based out of Dublin, Ireland. Foundant’s headquarters is located in Montana. Employees will have the option of working from the office (when it is safe to do so) if they wish or they may work remotely from home.



What You’ll Do:

We are looking for an experienced leader to drive Software Quality Assurance efforts across our B2B SaaS product portfolio. The ideal candidate will develop and implement QA strategies, manage staffing, and oversee both manual and automated testing processes across multiple products.

  • You’ll develop and execute QA strategies aligned with product goals in close partnership with the CTO, product management, and development teams for each product.
  • You’ll develop a highly competent and productive QA team, through recruitment, coaching and enablement activities.
  • You’ll establish and optimize QA processes, including:
  • In-sprint acceptance testing for newly developed work items.
  • Left-shifted automated regression testing built into the CI/CD process.
  • Pre-release testing, covering:
  • System/integration-level manual and automated functional testing.
  • Performance benchmarking.
  • Load/stress testing.
  • Compliance assurance (e.g., accessibility, security).
  • You’ll ensure that test assets (automated tests, manual test cases, test environments, and test data) are fit for purpose.
  • You’ll articulate the case for incremental investments in people or tooling necessary to address any material gaps / risk, and advocate for these investments as appropriate.
  • You’ll monitor and report on quality metrics and KPIs.
  • You’ll drive continuous improvement in QA practices.
  • You’ll be a role model and advocate for Foundant’s culture and leadership values.


What You’ll Need:

  • 10+ years of QA management experience in B2B SaaS environments
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies and best practices
  • Experience with modern tooling for automation functional and performance testing
  • Experience with modern tooling for test case management
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada/US


Desired Qualifications;

  • BSc in Comp Sci or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines
