The Position:

The Vice President - Amazon will lead the strategic vision and execution of the company’s Amazon growth plan for Canada. This high-impact role will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive, data-driven strategy across multiple divisions, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives. This role will focus on building and nurturing our partnership with Amazon at the management level with the goal of optimizing performance across all product lines.

Responsibilities:


Strategic Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Amazon eCommerce team, fostering a culture of accountability and results.
  • Identify potential for expansion in Latin America markets.
  • Develop and lead the Amazon eCommerce strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Collaborate with division heads and cross-functional teams to ensure strategy coherence across the company's product lines: Beauty Appliances, Professional Beauty Appliances, Kitchen Appliances, Kitchen Housewares, and Outdoor categories.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities to grow sales on the Amazon platform.
  • Work with senior management and Amazon global sales team to ensure alignment with global corporate plans.

Growth & Revenue Generation:

  • Drive growth initiatives aimed at meeting and exceeding aggressive targets.
  • Lead efforts to optimize product listings, enhance customer experience, and improve search visibility on Amazon platforms.
  • Spearhead strategies for promotions, pricing, and assortment to maximize profitability and market share.

Partnership & Vendor Management:

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with our key Amazon 3rd party partners to drive market growth.
  • Represent the company in high-level negotiations with Amazon, ensuring the company is positioned as a preferred partner.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between Amazon-focused teams and other departments (e.g. Marketing, Supply Chain, IT) to ensure seamless execution of strategies.
  • Foster a culture of data-driven decision making, leveraging analytics and insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional Latin American team to share "best practices" and foster sales improvement across the region.

Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee end-to-end Amazon operations, ensuring optimal inventory levels, smooth fulfillment, and compliance with Amazon's standards.
  • Develop and implement KPI's to track performance, drive accountability, and ensure continuous optimization.


Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field; advanced degree (e.g. MBA) preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in eCommerce, with at least 5 years focused specifically on Amazon.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Leadership role supervising a team, specifically in the eCommerce segment.
  • Proven track record of driving significant revenue growth in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and influencing senior leadership.
  • Deep understanding of Amazon’s ecosystem including, search algorithms, vendor and seller programs, advertising platforms (AMS), and fulfillment models.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience using data and insights to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
  • Proficiency with eCommerce tools and platforms (e.g. Stackline, Amazon Vendor Central).
  • Experience managing international Amazon accounts an asset.
  • Experience in the beauty appliances or kitchen appliances industry preferred.
  • Strategic thinker with a strong understanding of consumer behavior.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (especially PowerPoint) to Customer and Senior Management.
