Job Title: Offshore Wind Geophysical Engineer
Location: Remote
About the Role: We are seeking an Offshore Wind Geophysical Engineer to support the development and execution of offshore wind projects. In this role, you will conduct geophysical surveys, analyse data, and provide critical geotechnical insights for the design, construction, and maintenance of offshore wind farms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Survey Execution: Plan and oversee marine geophysical surveys using seismic, sonar, and other relevant technologies.
- Data Interpretation: Analyse geophysical data to create subsurface models and identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Project Support: Provide geotechnical expertise during project planning, design, and construction phases.
- Reporting: Prepare technical reports and presentations summarizing findings and recommendations.
- Compliance: Ensure all operations adhere to industry standards and environmental regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, scientists, and project managers.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate geophysical risks in offshore wind projects.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Geophysics, Marine Science, or a related field.
- Experience: 6+ years of experience in geophysical surveys and data interpretation, preferably in offshore wind.
- Skills: Proficiency with geophysical tools and software; strong understanding of marine geophysics and offshore wind.
- Certifications: Offshore safety certifications (e.g., BOSIET, GWO) are a plus.
