Responsibilities:


  • Lead the development and implementation of tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize tax positions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Oversee the preparation and timely filing of all tax returns, including income, sales, property, and payroll taxes.
  • Manage tax audits and correspondence with tax authorities.
  • Provide strategic tax planning advice to senior management and various departments.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of tax strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of tax issues to support business decisions.
  • Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the company.
  • Mentor and develop a team of tax professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, MST, JD) preferred.
  • CPA certification is required.
  • 5 -7 years of progressive experience in tax, including leadership roles.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Experience with tax planning, compliance, and strategy in a corporate environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
