Job Title: IT Project Lead – Healthcare Technology Implementation
Job Type: Contract
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead an IMITS Application Discovery, aligning technology and application requirements with clinical business needs.
- Validate the detailed inventory of software and systems (both software and hardware).
- Oversee the development of business cases for new deployments or expansions of IMITS systems in existing LGH buildings, ensuring funding is secured for the deployment before the opening of the new Acute Care Tower.
- Develop business cases for additional technologies not represented in the existing Technology Business Plan (e.g., VOCERA, RTLS, CWS, CMS, Supply Robots).
- Identify when RFPs are required to support the procurement of technology and systems not covered under existing contracts.
- Validate with the LGH ACT Infrastructure Project Director the infrastructure requirements (networks, wireless network, cabling, servers) for the deployment of business applications.
- Develop a high-level implementation plan for IMITS systems and infrastructure in the new Acute Care Tower, including interdependent projects like CST, Tele Tracking, and Vocera.
- Provide administrative project support, including tracking the IMITS and Technical Services budget, monthly project status reporting, attending project meetings, and providing steering committee status reports as needed.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
- Experience in large construction projects as the IT Project Lead.
- Healthcare IT experience, particularly in hospitals or healthcare facilities.
- Proven experience in implementing innovative technologies, including:
- Real-Time Locating Systems (RTLS)
- Voice Activated Telephony (VOCERA)
- Patient Tracking Systems
- Mobile Applications
- Detailed understanding of technical infrastructure requirements for large-scale technology deployments.
- Senior-level project management skills, including:
- Budget management
- Resource tracking
- IT project planning and implementation
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
