As a key member of our waste removal services, you will play a crucial role in collecting and transporting solid waste and recyclables while upholding our standards for safety and customer service.

Key Responsibilities: Operate a residential/recycling collection truck, utilizing side-load and/or rear-load methods.

Load solid waste, yard waste, and/or recyclables into the waste collection vehicle.

Compact trash efficiently using prescribed techniques.

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and complete required documentation.

Communicate vehicle mechanical issues promptly to supervisors and mechanics.

Maintain route quality standards and follow safety regulations.

Identify and tag prohibited waste items, removing them from waste carts.

Manage assigned Helper(s) if applicable.

Adhere to all federal, state/provincial, local, and company safety rules.

Requirements: Class 3 Driver's License required.

Minimum one (1) year of commercial driving experience OR CDL school certificate.

Ability to meet safety criteria for sensitive functions according to company standards.

Demonstrated ability to safely drive a truck and operate equipment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of truck components and basic maintenance for safe operation.

Proficient in maneuvering trucks in tight spaces using mirrors.

Ability to recognize and handle unacceptable waste materials.

Effective communication with internal and external customers.

Reading, writing, and comprehension of associated documents and maps.

Physical ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 50 pounds using proper techniques.
