As a Service Manager, you’ll be the leader of a major maintenance enterprise. You’ll have the opportunity to hire and motivate an amazing team of Service Technicians. You will work closely with the Branch Manager, and help build a profitable location with your leadership, service and maintenance knowledge, and business management.
What you'll do:
Motivate, coach and train technicians to exceed time & quality standards and comply with standard repair and maintenance processes
Staff location adequately based on skills and workload
Responsible for R&M, P&L and associated costs/budget
Lead, plan, measure and continuous improvement of all service and maintenance performance metrics
Oversee parts department activities, to ensure optimal customer service, technician/shops/OEC productivity and cost control
Evaluate performance and promotability of team members. Identify and provide necessary skills training and regular coaching
Promote a culture of safety and discipline through leadership, exemplary personal compliance, accountability and communication
Other duties assigned as needed
Requirements:
High School diploma required; trade-school degree a plus; bachelor’s degree preferred
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
Extensive Equipment Fleet Maintenance and leadership experience
5 years’ service and maintenance experience and a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience
Strong motivational and leadership skills
Excellent customer service skills
Strong knowledge of maintenance accounting and P&L
Basic computer skills particularly with Microsoft Excel

Motiver, encadrer et former les techniciens pour dépasser les normes de temps et de qualité et se conformer aux processus de réparation et d’entretien standard
Répartition des membres du personnel, en fonction des compétences et de la charge de travail.
Responsable du R&M, des profits et des pertes et des coûts/budget associés
Direction, planification, mesure et amélioration continuelle de toutes les mesures de rendement de service et d’entretien
Supervision des activités du service des pièces, pour assurer un service à la clientèle optimal, une productivité supérieure des techniciens/ateliers/du coût d’origine de l’équipement et un contrôle maximal des coûts
Évaluation du rendement et des possibilités de promotion des membres du service Identification et organisation des formations techniques nécessaires t accompagnement constant par des séan
Promotion d’une culture de sécurité et de discipline par le biais de leadership, respect individuel exemplaire des normes de sécurité, sens de la responsabilité et communication
Autres responsabilités en fonction des besoins
Exigences du poste :
Diplôme d'études secondaires requis; Diplôme d'école de commerce est un atout; Baccalauréat préférable
Permis de conduire en cours de validité et dossier de conduite acceptable
Vaste expérience en entretien de flotte d'équipement et en leadership
Cinq ans d'expérience en service et entretien et un minimum de 3 ans d'expérience en supervision
Solides aptitudes en leadership et capacité poussée à motiver les gens
Compétences supérieures en service à la clientèle
Connaissances importantes en comptabilité d’entretien et du compte de résultat d’une entreprise de location
Compétences de base en informatique, en particulier avec Microsoft Excel

As a Service Manager at United Rentals, you’ll be the leader of a major maintenance enterprise within the Power/HVAC Division. You’ll have the opportunity to hire and motivate an amazing team of Service Technicians and Equipment Associates. You will maintain and repair a variety of specialty rental equipment and support assets assigned to the Power/HVAC fleet to ensure safe operation and readiness for rental. You will work closely with the Branch Manager, and help build a profitable location with your leadership, service and maintenance knowledge, and business management.
What you'll do:
Supervise the preventative maintenance, trouble shooting, and repair of a variety of equipment, including but not limited to the following: Silent Diesel Generators 20kw to 1.5MW; Air–Cooled Chillers 10 to 400 Tons; Rental Industry Air-Conditioners 5 to 40 Tons; Desiccant Dehumidifiers and Negative Air Machines; Electrical Distribution; Load Banks
Motivate, coach and train technicians to exceed time & quality standards and comply with standard repair and maintenance processes
Supervise Service Technicians, ensuring safety policies and procedures are followed at all times
Build strong customer relationships through the delivery of high quality and timely customer service
Apply United Rental policies to maximize productivity while maintaining a safe work environment in a clean, organized facility
Manage the shop operating expenses
Lead, plan, measure and continuous improvement of all service and maintenance performance metrics
Meet on regular basis with Branch Managers, reporting any problems and discussing possible solutions
Other duties assigned as needed
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
3-5 years of operations and shop management experience with background in repairing and maintaining the equipment stated above
Intermediate to advanced diagnostic and repair skills for mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic and other systems
Advanced knowledge of heavy equipment, the manufacturers’ warranty process, and the work order / time spent accounting process
Experience on diesel, hydraulic and electrical systems that allows for independent assessment and diagnosis in most situations
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
Strong motivational and leadership skills
Excellent customer service skills
Strong knowledge of maintenance accounting and P&L
Basic computer skills particularly with Microsoft Excel

You’ll have the opportunity to hire and motivate an amazing team of Equipment Associates and Welders. You’ll ensure proper storage and maintenance of company equipment, and uphold a high standard of customer service in the yard at the branch. You will work closely with the Branch Manager, and help build a profitable location with your leadership, service and maintenance knowledge, and business management.
What you'll do:
Safely manage daily shop activities to maintain order accuracy, equipment quality and readiness
Coordinate shop and yard activities among Equipment Associates and Welders to promote business efficiency; When required, provide instruction to Drivers
Manage mechanical services for delivery trucks, sales trucks, forklifts and other mechanical tool
Order parts for maintenance of rental fleet
Manage the hiring, training, evaluation, and performance of Equipment Associates, and Welders, and in some branches, Drivers
Maintain records for Drivers’, Equipment Associates’, and Welders’ job training, for DOT compliance, and for accident investigations
Conduct employee safety training and coordinate certification training for use of forklifts and boom lifts
Ensure a safe working environment
Other duties assigned as needed
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
5+ years related experience
Welding school certification for Arc, MIG, and TIG
Knowledge of proper hydraulic and pneumatic testing procedures
Working knowledge of trench safety related products and applications; advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
Strong leadership, teamwork and customer service skills
IVES certification for boom trucks and forklifts preferred
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
