Vancouver, Canada Provident Security Full time

Job Summary

Are you are observant? Prefer working outdoors? Do you use the Bike Lanes in Vancouver? If you answered yes to all of those questions, then we have the perfect position for you.

We are currently looking to hire 1 person to join our Community Safety & Security Bike Patrol Team.

Working in the Security Industry is not what you think it might be. It is not about being tall or aggressive. It is not about catching the bad guys or taking people down on the street. Security is about helping people. It is 50% customer service and 50% common sense.

Provident Security is and always has been, a Vancouver based company. Our Community Bike Patrol Team is really where we started. Before cell phones could access the internet, we could be seen in our blue shirts and khaki pants helping out local communities. The technology has gotten better but the value we provide hasn’t changed; Creating Community Value is one of our core values and is at the heart of this position.

Responsibilities and Duties

A position on our Bike Patrol team is partly patrolling a specific area on bike and partly doing patrols on foot. You may also be doing Alarm Response within the same area or helping out with emergency situations. You will spend the majority of your time on a bike, but not the whole shift.

•Currently have or able to obtain your security license; this means you are 19 or older, have no criminal record and are legally entitled to work in Canada

•Able to work graveyard (overnight) shifts

•Excellent customer service skills

•Ability to troubleshoot and find the best solution for our clients

Benefits

•Competitive salary

•Paid training and ongoing support

•Use of a company bike while on shift or your own if you really love it

•Full Uniforms provided

•Flexible scheduling – Full Time, Part Time and Casual shifts available

•Great work environment

•Extended Health Benefits for Full Time employees
