Reporting to the Manager, Climate Change, the Climate Change Co-op will help support Teck’s climate change practice, with a key accountability tied to the tracking and reporting of Teck’s climate change performance. Supporting Teck’s climate change management practices involves facilitating the collection of energy use and greenhouse gas emissions information across all applicable Teck locations per defined internal and external reporting schedules, including management of the data and the data application CarbonBase within which this information is captured and stored. The role collaborates with those involved in related reporting and assurance, to ensure that the data is complete, of a suitable quality and provided in time to meet reporting deadlines. Support for other climate change-related objectives will be assigned as appropriate. Depending on the needs and location of the team, you will need to work PDT or MDT or relocate to a specific office (site-based). You must also currently be a student enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution and will be enrolled throughout the duration of the co-op term (you will also be returning back to the post-secondary institution once the co-op term is completed). Proof of a valid work permit will also be required, if applicable.
