The Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager, Counterparty Risk, we are seeking a Risk Analyst who will be primarily responsible for preparing and reporting TC Energy’s counterparty exposures, managing and completing annual counterparty credit assessments, and maintaining the credit system.

What will you do

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc counterparty exposure reports for senior management and other internal stakeholders Analyze and troubleshoot counterparty exposures to ensure the data is flowing into the credit system accurately from the source systems including manually uploading certain exposures on a monthly basis Communicate and respond to information requests from internal stakeholders and other members within the Risk Management team Manage and complete annual counterparty credit assessments, provide support / backup for team members within the Counterparty Risk department Set up counterparties and contracts in the credit system and assist in the management of SAP customer master data maintenance Maintain the credit system to ensure it is functioning properly and manage system upgrades Recommend and participate in projects to improve processes

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor of Commerce, Economics or business-related degree Proficiency in the use of Microsoft PowerBi and Bloomberg Excellent knowledge and experience in the use of standard desktop applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) Attention to detail and ability to capture and report information accurately including ability to analyze and identify trends and critical relationships to determine underlying issues Strong organizational skills and demonstrated flexibility to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment Ability to work collaboratively and professionally with others in a team environment Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with coworkers and internal/external customers

Preferred Qualifications

Enrollment in a professional financial designation or post-graduate degree Successfully complete pre-employment and background checks
