Purpose:

The Technical Writer/Editor will work with subject matter experts to deliver high-quality reports and proposals to insurance, legal, municipal, and private clients. The Technical Writer/Editor’s primary tasks will be editing, formatting, plain language writing, and fine-tuning reports and proposals, ensuring they adhere to the Company’s style and brand guide.

Role responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

Review and edit technical reports and proposals for grammatical correctness, clarity, and consistency Format technical reports and proposals to match company style Provide feedback to experts and work together to ensure products meet clients’ needs Collaborate with subject matter experts to organize and write content for technical reports and proposals Develop and publish design elements for reports and proposals, including cover pages and supporting graphics Summarize documentation and transcribe text and audio materials Contribute to internal technical writing projects Develop and implement process improvements and efficiencies Support other members of the Technical Communications and Marketing teams as necessary

Requirements:

Exceptional writing and editing skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat Intermediate design skills and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite Minimum - years of writing/editing/communications experience Educational background in English, Communications, or a related field
