Demi Chef de Partie

The Demi Chef is responsible for the daytodayoperation of their designated station. The Demi Chef is the firstpoint of contact for Commis Chefs and supports the Chef de Partiein managing the station.
Duties andResponsibilities
- Prepareseason and cook food following special dietary instructions whererequired.
- Follow recipes and presentationspecifications.
- Provide direction to CommisChefs.
- Help in Menucreation.
- Operate standard kitchen equipmentsafely and efficiently.
- Ensure that stationopening and closing procedures are carried out tostandard.
- Clean and maintain station andoverall kitchen through practicing good safety andsanitation.
- Adhere to all sanitation and foodproduction procedures and codes.
- Assist withthe enforcement of Health & Safetyprotocols.
- Assist withordering.
- Work within budgetedguidelines.
Qualifications:
- Completion ofGrade 12 or equivalent
- Culinary degree and 2years of cooking experience OR 5 years of related cookingexperience
- Experience and proficiency in both ala carte and production cooking
- Previousexperience in a leadership role in thekitchen
- Valid food handlercertificate
- Able to meet the physical demandsof theposition
- Selfmotivated
- Ableto work under pressure
- Excellent communicationskills
