As a Material Handler, in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, you will be responsible for assisting the production departments with packaging, and handling product and materials throughout the client site, while following all safety procedures and work methods. Location: Bridgewater, Nova Scotia
Pay Rate: Base hourly rate of $16.50/hour plus Evening, Overnight and Weekend shift premiums ( ~$19/hour with premiums included)
Shift Schedule: Rotational 12 hour day and night shifts (8-8 for 160 hours per month)
Contract length: ASAP to Nov. 1, 2024, with possibility for extension or additional work in another department.

Responsibilities
- Moving product throughout client site via pushing/pulling carts (pre-staged, no lifting involved)
- Using a mechanical hoist to load product onto pallets
- Rolling product
- Use of a transpallet to move product
- Packaging product
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
• Previous industrial or labour experience is an asset
• Candidates are required to have their own pair of CSA Approved Metatarsal Steel Toed Work shoes/boots
• Comfortable with physical labour involving pulling, pushing and manually maneuvering product
• Comfortable with operation of a transpallet (training provided)
• Capable of working 12 hour shifts, including night shifts and weekends
• Able to work in a team or autonomously (with little supervision)
• Able to perform repetitive tasks in a manufacturing environment

Training provided, No experience needed
