We are seeking an experienced Blaster responsible for assisting our crews in British Columbia. Although we are a union affiliated organization, being an active member is not a pre-requisite.

Job duties will include preparation of blasting plans, loading of and detonating blasts.

Qualifications:

Blasting experience around houses and urban settings is considered an asset Have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and proven ability to work effectively in a team environment. Natural ability to solve problems, communicate clearly and effectively; Be able to work flexible work hours based on job requirements; Enjoy working outdoors in a fast paced and challenging environment; Valid Canadian driver’s license, with a clean driving abstract; Experience working in the heavy civil construction industry Must possess an Urban Blasting Ticket Must possess a Mines Blasting Ticket Knowledge in blasting shearline and production techniques Understanding of the Worksafe requirements for Blasting Current TDG ticket

Emil Anderson offers competitive wages and benefits in addition to a challenging and fun work environment. 

Wage Scale: $35.00-$42.00 per hour
