We’re seeking a dynamic and creative Intern to join our team and make a significant impact in talent attraction, retention, and engagement while also contributing to our marketing and social media efforts.

Position Overview: As the Employer Branding Intern, you will report to the Sr. Manager, Employer Branding. You will play a key role in enhancing our employer brand and supporting talent strategy initiatives. This role combines elements of talent strategy, content creation and marketing, and social media to help us attract, engage, and retain top talent while promoting PC Financial’s unique workplace culture.

What You'll Do:

Talent Attraction and Engagement:

Assist the Sr. Manager, Employer Branding in creating and executing strategic brand awareness campaigns, including the development of our Colleague Value Proposition content. Contribute to candidate attraction activities through content marketing, digital and social media initiatives. Provide insights and feedback on improving recruitment processes, standards, and tools to enhance the effectiveness of Talent Acquisition.

Design Marketing and Social Media:

Design employer branding collateral using Canva and Adobe Suite platforms Support the Creative and Content focusing on creative content solutions for various social channels. Research and present trending content ideas, particularly for platforms like TikTok, YouTube, and Pinterest. Manage and organize content calendars and timelines for different Loblaw banners and brands. Assist with creative ideation, brief writing, copywriting, and social media posting. Collaborate with internal marketing, communications, and digital media teams to identify and implement opportunities that support our employer brand and recruitment goals. Assist in-house creators with content production, capture, and the creation of local social store campaigns.

Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in a Business, Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, or Public Relations program. Strong passion for marketing, social media, and content creation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse groups, including executives and subject matter experts. Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe (an asset) or Canva, social media platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously. Analytical mindset to understand how social content impacts talent engagement and acquisition. Proactive, resourceful, and collaborative with exceptional interpersonal skills.

What You’ve Done:

Previous experience in social media management and content creation. Understanding of social media trends and their impact on marketing and employer branding. Demonstrated proficiency in project management and creative problem-solving.

Application Deadline: This is a hybrid/in-office role. Loblaw has adopted a Hybrid working model, which involves working 4 days in the office and 1 day remotely each week.
