At Amplifon Canada, our Area Manager position is the perfect opportunity to amplify your career. In this highly visible role, you are responsible for the performance and daily operations of the area clinics assigned to you. You support the onboarding of new employees and the coaching, development, and training of the clinic team to achieve individual and team KPIs. You also enhance the productivity and quality of service to clients throughout area clinics to drive operational excellence and consistency of Amplifon processes and protocols to achieve the best-in-class client care. This position will support clinics in our Eastern Ontario region and we prefer that the candidate resides in this geographic area.

  Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Clinic Performance:

Be accountable for area clinics performance and KPIs.  Review clinic schedule to ensure appropriate appointment mix,  Identify actions required in area clinics to improve performance and KPIs and create action plans as needed,  Have an ear to the ground on potential client complaints and resolve issues before a complaint is made.  Be the first point of contact for employees to support them in promptly resolving any client issues in a clinic.  Work with employees to ensure actions are taken to saturate the clinic schedule and follow up as required.  Liaise with the Marketing and Sales leaders about potential community activities for area clinics.  Provide a weekly summary to the Sales Director on sales reports, performance, and issues arising in any area clinics.  Identify opportunities and work with employees to ensure each clinic has strong community relationships. 

Leadership:

Provide timely and open feedback to direct reports.  Identify training requirements of team members and follow up with the Sales Director monthly.  Filters critical information from Head Office to Employees. 

Performance Management:

Prioritizes time in the daily and weekly schedule for Area Manager duties.  Schedules meetings with all direct reports and provide essential discussion items ahead of time.  Manages own performance and KPIs.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Manage all staff in area clinics. Frequently visit all clinics in the respective area as needed to coach, guide, and mentor. 

  Qualifications: 

Education/Experience:

At least 3 years of experience in the hearing industry or other similar retail or consumer product good industries  At least 3 years in a people leadership or management role  Bachelors Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration; or Operational Management, or equivalent Business Management experience.  Audiology or Hearing Instrument Specialist degree is preferred but not required. 

 Required Skills:

Strong Leadership skills;  Professional solid standards and ability to follow protocols and policies.  Confident and professional when dealing with clients.  Understands critical business objectives and how to drive the achievement of business results.  Understands administrative functions to ensure smooth business operation.  Sound judgment and decision-making ability.  High sense of initiative and self-motivation.  Excellent interpersonal skills to enable effective working relationships with a wide range of customers, colleagues, and vendors.  Extensive knowledge or willingness to learn about a wide range of hearing instruments.  Strong customer service orientation. 

Physical/Mental Demands :

Possess the mobile dexterity necessary to operate audiological equipment and to execute the fitting and molding of hearing aid devices  Able to move equipment up to 20 pounds.  Frequently sitting, standing, walking, lifting and reaching  Able to work on-site in the environment described above to perform the essential functions of this job Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions
