Responsibilities
In this General Accountant role in Cambridge, you will be responsible for the following:
- Prepare and maintain financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Perform general ledger reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting standards.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and variances, providing insights to management.
- Coordinate and support external audits and tax filings.
- Manage inventory accounting and cost analysis.
- Participate in the development and implementation of accounting procedures and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
We are looking for the following for this General Accountant role located in Cambridge:
- Minimum 3 years of accounting experience across all aspects of the function
- A bachelor’s degree in either business administration or accounting.
- Experience working with QuickBooks is mandatory.
- Previous experience working in Manufacturing is a strong asset.
