What you will bedoing:

  • As the StaffAccountant you will assist in the following areas in Finance: General Cashier Accounts Payables Accounts Receivable andLabour Management.
  • Preparation of month end andannual statements.
  • Assists withAudits
  • Assists with the supervision andcoordination of all the Finance operations in thehotel. 
  • Approach all encounters withguests and employees in a friendly service orientedmanner
  • Comply at all times with FAIRMONTstandards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hoteloperations
  • Compiles and analyzes financialinformation to prepare financial statements including monthly andannual reports and ensures accurate and efficient monthly quarterlyand year end results.
  • Ensures all financialreporting deadlines are met.
  • Ensures financialrecords are maintained in compliance with accepted policies andprocedures.
  • Ensures labor management and otheravailable tools are properly used by managers to set and monitorstaffing levels and productivity targets with the goal of ensuringa balance between service andprofitability.

  • Oversees budget and forecastactivities and assists Operational Leaders as required throughtraining andmentoring.

Qualifications:

Yourexperience and skillsinclude:

  • SeniorFinancial Leader with a minimum of 2 years experience withpreference given to candidates with hotel / hospitalityleadership.
  • Computer literate with complexaccounting software and other tools such as Microsoft applicationsand relevant computer applications.
  • Excellentcommunication and organizational skills.
  • Stronginterpersonal and problemsolvingabilities.
  • Highly responsible &reliable with exceptional attention todetail.
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of ateam.
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needsremaining calm and courteous at all times.
