Duties and responsibilities, as they align with Ryan Key Results

People:

• Create a positive team member experience.

Client:

• Working with various practices to support external and internal client needs.

Value:

• Reconciles and produces various schedules to support semi-monthly payroll to facilitate approval by Management.

• Audits and reconciles Incentive Compensation earned, including advances and recoveries.

• Utilizes Firm software systems to track, audit, and maintain information related to payroll, such as incentive compensation, guaranteed payments, reimbursement, or other items.

• Assists employees as needed related to incentive compensation or other payroll matters.

• Payroll taxable benefits monthly analysis and Processing accounting entries related to payroll.

• Creates compensation ad-hoc reports as needed.

• Participation in period-end activities to close the financials.

• Processing daily cheque deposit through the banking scanner.

• Coordinates, oversees, and monitors daily invoicing process to clients. Includes client onboarding registration, client portal maintenance and uploading invoices.

• Monitoring of the Accounts Receivables requests email inbox and actioning all requests.

• Assist the Accounts Payables process for supplier invoices and employee expenses; including manual cheque preparation.

• Payment Applications daily on both manual and automated reconciliation deposits through the high radius program.

• Prepares and disseminates timely and accurate financial information to allow for efficient use and control over financial resources.

• Supports team members in projects through fact-finding, data gathering, analysis, report writing, and value determination.

• Possesses attention to detail and accuracy.

• Possesses good written and oral communication skills and maintains a professional approach and work ethic in completing tasks timely.

• Performs other projects and general accounting duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree from a college or university is strongly desired. Accounting degree or diploma is an asset.

• Enrollment or Completion of the Payroll Compliance Professional (CPC) is an asset.

• Minimum of three years related experience required in Payroll/Accounting

• Desire to perform in a high-energy team environment.

• Demonstrated problem-solving, and strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage ambiguity.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have excellent skills in Microsoft® Excel, Internet navigation and research, and intermediate skills in Microsoft® Word, Access, Outlook, and Accounting and Payroll software.

Certificates and Licenses: Valid driver’s license required.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

Standard indoor working environment.

Occasional long periods of sitting or standing while working.

Position requires regular interaction with employees and clients via e-mail and telephone.

Independent travel requirement: none.
