What will you be doing?
ANBL is seeking a Payables Analyst to join our Finance team. As part of our Shared services, this role will be working with both ANBL and CannabisNB.
The Payables Analyst role encompasses comprehensive subject matter expertise for accounts payable, including a thorough understanding of all transactions, associated business processes, charts of accounts, and end-to-end flow of journal entries throughout the entire process cycle. This role is also responsible for vendor reconciliations, and for providing timely business and customer support in all areas of accountability.
Key position Responsibilities:
Financial Accounting – Ensure applicable financial transactions are complete, reliable, and compliant with internal policies and other applicable legislation; maintain a solid understanding of the charts of accounts. Reporting – Prepare internal and external reports and requests for information, as required. Accounts Payable (SME) – Maintain completeness and accuracy of accounts payable including invoice and payment processing, and the correct application of applicable commodity tax; resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Vendor Reconciliations – Perform regular vendor reconciliations and investigate/ rectify discrepancies. Process Documentation – Regularly review and update all assigned standards, processes, and procedural documentation to ensure they are accurate and complete.What you need to be successful:
College diploma in accounting, or equivalent Effective time management, organizational, and prioritization skills High level of accuracy and attention to detail Customer service focus Confidentiality and discretion requiredIt would be fantastic if you also had
Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP and Microsoft Dynamics 365Language competencies
Bilingualism in both official languages is an asset, but not requiredWork location:
The successful candidate will have the option to work onsite at ANBL’s Retail Operations Centre (ROC) in Fredericton, New Brunswick, or work on a hybrid basis dividing their time between home and ROC.Note
