About the Role:

As we continue to grow as an organization, with over humans on our Compass Early Learning and Care team, we are seeking a unique individual who has a strength for recruitment and welcoming, a passion for administration, is curious about our organization, journey and people, and who is eager to join our enthusiastic Human Relations team.

You will work as a Human Relations (HR) Admin Coordinator supporting our HR, Supply, Students, Volunteers, Health and Safety, and Administration Teams. This role will require availability Monday to Friday and must be able to travel to all Compass ELC regions. 

Some Accountabilities associated with the role include: 

Supporting supply recruitment efforts within our organization. Support in the selection of applicants and support with interview set up. Building connections and relationships within our programs and teams. Following and living into Compass ELC mission, vision, values and policies.  Working alongside the rest of the Human Relations team, support with ongoing projects, and participating in team meetings. Support with Health and Safety related initiatives, projects and upkeep. Living into a collaborative leadership and holocracy-led organizational structure and culture.  Continuing to partake in professional learning opportunities.  Bringing a Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion lens to all of our HR practices. 

Skills and Qualifications: 

Post-Secondary education in Human Resources or membership with the HRPA is valued but not required. Experience with leading and conducting interviews, creating job postings, and recruitment strategies. Knowledge and understanding of the Ontario Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and licensing standards in Child Care. Familiar with the Employment Standards Act (ESA). Clear Vulnerable Sector Check. Standard First Aid and CPR Level C. Excellent communication skills. Has a strength in administration, systems, and organization. Familiarity and knowledge with applicable software and technology. Has access to reliable transportation.
